Getting started
What is Surrealism?
A macOS screensaver that fills your idle screen with an ever-growing library of surreal, AI-generated video loops — seamless, minutes-long worlds that drift and never quite repeat.
Which Macs does it run on?
macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel.
How do I set it as my screensaver?
Open the app and click Set as Screensaver. It installs and activates in one step — no digging through System Settings.
Does it work on multiple displays?
Yes — it plays across all your connected displays.
Buying & licensing
Is it free?
The app is free to install and ships with a couple of sample loops. A one-time Founder's Lifetime unlocks the full library.
What does the Founder's Lifetime include?
The full current library plus every future loop we add, and app updates — forever. The price rises as the library grows, so the earlier you buy, the less you pay.
Where's my license key?
It's emailed right after purchase. If it's not in your inbox, check spam, then message us and we'll resend it.
Can I use it on more than one Mac?
Yes, on your own Macs. Details are in the app when you activate.
The loops
Can I add my own videos?
Yes. In the app, use Add Loops to play any videos you choose alongside your library.
Do I need to be online?
Only to download loops. Once they're on your Mac, the screensaver plays fully offline.
How much space do the loops take?
You choose which loops to keep, so you control the disk usage — remove any you're not using anytime.
